Description

According to recent reports, slightly more than half of police incidents occur during the day, but the majority of VIOLENT crime occurs at night! Burglary, assault, robbery, aggravated assault, and murder are highest from 6 p.m. into early hours of the following day.

Learn to effectively operate your handgun WITH your light system, and take back the night!

Whether your plans entail utilizing a firearm along with a hand-carried flashlight, a weapon-mounted light, or both, you’ll learn to employ effective techniques and gain confidence in your abilities.

Training topics and exercises:

1) discussion of low-light environments;

2) diminished light and the human eye;

3) equipment options and techniques for deployment;

4) identifying potential threats and target engagement exercises;

5) movement in low-light conditions.

***PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION PROVIDED TO EACH STUDENT, THIS CLASS IS LIMITED TO TEN (10) PARTICIPANTS.

Prerequisites:

You must have attended our Defensive Handgun Skills course or have similar experience. If you are unsure or have questions, please consult with instructor: daniel@budsgunshopKY.com.

REQUIRED MATERIALS: You will need to bring the following to the class:

1) a handgun;

2) a holster made expressly for your model handgun (leather or Kydex—no nylon or “one-size fits all” type) of sufficient quality to be able to repeatedly draw and re-holster with one hand. *Please note*: If you use a firearm-mounted light, then your holster also needs to fit this combination. No holsters permitted where the firearm muzzle faces rearward, or if your draw would sweep other participants—Safety First!

3) a single or double magazine pouch or speedloader pouch, or available pockets for quick, extra-magazine access;

4) a quality gun belt that firmly supports your holstered gun and magazines for both adequate draw and to help provide weapon retention.

5) a minimum of two, double-stack magazines, more if you have them. Single-stack magazine-fed pistols will require at least three magazines. Revolvers will require at least three speedloaders.

6) personal eye and ear protection; electronic ear protection works better for this class;

7) an LED, hand-held flashlight, minimum 100 lumens, higher output is better;

8) weapon-mounted flashlight (recommended, but optional);

9) pen and paper for notetaking;

10) 300 rounds of range ammunition in the proper caliber for your handgun; available for purchase at our range counter

Class Duration: Four (4) hours.

Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to sign range waivers.

Only $99. Limited spaces for this class!
