Jack Tinsley
A military veteran with combat experience, Jack has also been a hunter, shooter, and reloader most of his adult life and involved in the firearms industry for over 10 years. Jack shoots sporting clays competitively and understands as only a shooter can the demands placed on a competitive shooter and shotgun. He knows how to fit your gun and how important that becomes as you grow in the sport.
Jack is a certified NSCA Level 1 instructor and has an impressive record in competitive shooting:
2020: 1st Overall Super Senior Veteran Concurrent Class
2019: 1st overall FITASC C-Class; 1st Main Super Senior Veteran Concurrent Class; 1st FITASC Super Senior Veteran Concurrent Class.
2016: 3rd Overall E-Class.
Dan Maloy
Dan grew up in northern California in the San Joaquin Valley, where he and his family were avid bird hunters for many years. For the last 55 years, he’s been addicted to trapshooting. He’s traveled to tournaments in several states, including the Grand American Championship in Vandalia, Ohio on several occasions. His newest passion is sporting clays. Dan has been with Buds since November of 2013 as a Retail Sales Associate.
Doug Ramsey
Doug has a lifetime of firearms experience and more than fifteen years with the nation’s largest firearms retailer–BudsGunShop.com, LLC–in buying, selling, marketing, and operations and government compliance regarding firearms and related products.
He is certified by the Commonwealth of Kentucky (DOCJT) as a carrying concealed deadly weapons instructor, is an NRA-certified Instructor, and approved by Kentucky State Police to teach Kentucky Concealed Carry Deadly Weapons License classes.
Jason Cain
Jason also oversees range activities as Chief Range Safety Officer.
Gary McFarland
Gary is a lifelong resident of Kentucky and firearms enthusiast; he is also a certified Firefighter I and II instructor. He has been with Buds for eight years teaching introductory handgun classes and working our LE counter. Additionally, Gary has coached 4H Club Shooting Sports members in Archery and Trap.
Steve Hogan
Steve has undergone several formal training venues in Weaponcraft/ the Modern Technique in both pistol and AR series rifles (M16/ M4 variants), and participated in countless other shooting evolutions with civilian, military, and law enforcement trainers. He is qualified as a USCCA and US Army instructor. An avid hunter and handloader, Steve has nearly forty years of experience with pistols of all designs, and both traditional and modern sporting rifles.
